The DR Congo national football team lost its last preparation match for the 2026 World Cup to Chile (1-2) on Tuesday, June 9.
What happened ?
The match was played behind closed doors in Orléans, at the La Source stadium. Dario Osorio opened the scoring for Chile in the 52nd minute. Matias Sepulveda doubled the lead in the 86th minute. Less than two minutes later, Joris Kayembe reduced the score for the Leopards.

This defeat comes as the DR Congo is preparing to compete in the 2026 World Cup. The Leopards will have to face Portugal, Colombia, and Uzbekistan in Group K.

The DR Congo will make its World Cup debut against Portugal on June 17 in Houston.
